A Timeline and the Characters of the Ragnarok
To recap from the Prezi, the battle of the Ragnarok was caused by Loki’s hatred and anger towards the Gods, and he was the unifying voice towards the Ragnarok, uniting millions of beings that weren’t necessarily powerful enough to topple the Gods. However, Loki was. In the end, worlds were demolished, almost everyone died, but in the end, the world continued on. Here’s what happened in the Ragnarok, leading to the end of kind.

Thor
The god of thunder will battle the Midgard Serpent in the Ragnarok. After defeating the Midgard Serpent, it is fortold that he will walk 9 paces before dropping dead from the poison.


The Midgard Serpent (Jormugandr)
The Midgard Serpent was first defeated by Thor during his fishing trip. Fueled with its thirst for vegence, the serpent will return to attable Thor once again during the Ragnarok.




Loki
Loki, the trickster god will rebel against the gods during the Ragnarok. After he accidently killed Balder, the gods imprisioned him from his crimes. After countless years of suffering, it is said that Loki will escape his prision, and with hatred will try to destroy the gods along with his children, Hel, Fenrir and the Midgard Serpent.


Balder
Balder, the god of happiness and purity, was killed by Loki. Loki was jealous that everyone loved Balder and made him invulnerable. Loki, believing that proving Balder is invulnerable would make him less loved, tricked another god to throw a mistletoe at Balder, the only thing that will harm him. Although Balder died, it is fortold he will come back to life after the Ragnarok and restore happiness and peace.


Tyr
Tyr, the brave god of war, played an important role into chaining Fenrir. By offering to put his hand in Fenrir's mouth as a token of good will, he was able to convince Fenrir to prove his strenght by chaining Fenrir in a special, Drawf-made, magic chain. Fenrir was unable to break from the chain, but bit off Tyr's hand.


Fenrir
Fenrir, son of Loki, is a giant wolf feared by all gods. When Fenrir grew up, the gods feared him, so they found a way to imprision him. During the Ragnarok, Fenrir will escape from his chains and devour Odin.


Odin
Odin, the ruler of the gods, will assemble other gods and fight against his enemies in the Ragnarok. Despite being consumed by Fenrir, one of his sons will avenge him by killing Fenrir.
